CF-200 with cooling unit

Deacons lifts multifunctionality to a higher plane

A CF-200 with cooling unit. Shouldn’t that be a CF-ISO? No, this type of trailer is built occasionally in the Axel-based factory on customer demand. This time, the build was commissioned by the English carrier Deacons. The idea behind it is simple: increasing the deployability of the trailer, which should lead to higher return.

Kraker Trailers and Deacons are no strangers to each other. This carrier has already purchased 7 trailers made in Axel (new and used). Past June, the CF-200 with cooling unit was delivered. Stephen Collins, representative of Kraker Trailer in UK explains: “This Deacon trailer comes with a Thermo King SLX400-50 Cooler unit. The trailer is a CF-200, however the tarpaulin and the hollow spaces in the boards of the side walls are insulated. The thought behind this is that this trailer could take multifunctionality to the next level. Deacons is now able to transport a wide range of products. From bulk to biomass and from recycling products to pallets. And from now on, using the same trailer, temperature sensitive products as well.” Recycling products (such as scrap metal, bulk waste etc) cannot be transported with a CF-ISO, because the fully insulated side walls might suffer damage. The trailer built for

Deacons is a great alternative for cooled transport of cargo, but for the true conditioned transportation (up to 0º) CF-ISO remains the perfect trailer: the insulation value of the applied sandwich panels is significantly higher than that of the adjusted CF-200.
Deacons transports “dry” products from England to the European mainland and takes cargo such as chocolate, vegetables and fruit back into the UK. This way, all markets can be served using just one trailer, the CF-200 with cooling unit.
