Specially designed moving floor trailer for transporting wet material

The semi leak proof floor system is designed for transporting environmentally harmful products: household waste and green waste are two product groups for which the semi leak proof is perfect. Waste processor Weser Wertstoff from the German city of Hoya, had a special semi leak proof moving floor trailer developed for the transport of very wet materials.

Weser Wertstoff knows the recycling business like no other. This German firm specialized in the transport, storage and processing of virtually all types of waste and residuals. The problem that Weser Wertstoff faced in practice was that the liquid from the sometimes very wet material in a closed trailer, can’t be separated and processed in accordance with the environmental requirements.
Kraker Trailers was asked to come up with a solution to this. The solution was found in a conical moving floor trailer. The trailer, with a dish height of 1150 mm and 385/55 R 22.5-tires has a semi leak proof floor, meaning that liquid that leaks from the load is collected in a container underneath the trailer. The container underneath the Weser trailer has an exceptional capacity of 1500 l. The liquid collected can simply be removed from the container by using a tap, once in the trailer was in the correct facility to do this.


The principle is simple: the conical shape of the trailer makes most liquid run to the back immediately after loading, where it is held in the container. Liquid that goes through the floor profiles is transported to the container via the collection gutters in the floor. This separates the liquid from the load, enabling processing in accordance with the applicable environmental requirements.
